Michele “Shelly” Herbst is the President and CEO of Marron & Associates, Inc. She was selected as the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Small Business Person of the Year and received her award during the Small Business Awards Luncheon in Albuquerque, New Mexico on May 22, 2014. Marron & Associates is a small, woman-owned environmental consulting firm with 20 years of experience. The firm specializes in the NEPA compliance process and related documentation. They perform biological and wetland studies, cultural resource management, and agency coordination. They also have expertise in regulatory permitting and compliance.
Marron & Associates, Inc. was established by Ms. Herbst’s parents. She initially came to work for them as the Marketing Director. When her mother retired from the company, Ms. Herbst took on her current roles as President and CEO. The corporate offices are in Albuquerque and they have an office in Las Cruces.
