The New Mexico Small Business Development Center’s Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) is pleased to announce two upcoming workshops on the process for obtaining set aside certificates for federal government contracting. In the first workshop, starting at 1pm, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will discuss the Historically Underutilized Business Zone program (HUBZone program). Attendees will, also, hear how NEDA Business Consultants and PTAP can assist businesses to qualify for the various types of certificates available.
The second workshop at 2:30 pm will provide a detailed explanation of the SBA’s Business Development Program for minority and disadvantaged business owners, including the 8(a) program, bonding and other assistance. Both workshops are free but attendees are encouraged to register to insure space is available.
